One of Ireland's largest Irish owned consultants is looking to recruit a Senior Project Geotechnical Design Engineer. Your benefits package will also include the following: • Medical Benefit - €600 per annum, €1,200 per annum if employee has dependents • Death & Disability Cover – Four times the annual salary from first day of employment (€1,224) • Pension - Eligible to join the company pension scheme following successful completion of six months probationary period (€3,400) • Professional Memberships - will pay subscriptions for 2 professional memberships • CPD Days – 5 CPD days per year • Annual Leave - 22 Days annual leave increasing to a maximum of 27 with varying levels of service (5, 7 and 10 years) • Company Days – 2 Additional Company Days (Good Friday and Christmas Eve) • Early Friday finish (5.5 hour working day) The post will suit candidates with a Civil Engineering or Geology Degree and a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering keen to apply their professional skills and gain experience in a busy and dynamic civil, structural, geotechnical and environmental engineering practice. Responsibilities Geotechnical engineering design including roads, highways, active travel and greenways, earthworks, slope stability, retaining structures and structural foundations Peat backssment and stability Planning and managing CAD documentation, working closely with CAD Technicians Working closely with other Engineers and Graduates Attend onsite meetings with the client and other professionals Ensure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client Ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems Environmental Management Plans Ensure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation Skills / Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering 5 years in post graduate experience in Geotechnical Engineering Working towards Chartered Engineer status Experienced.
