If so, the City of Medicine Hat is looking for skilled individuals like you to join our dynamic team of Property Tax backssors! About the role: As an backssor, you will play a crucial role in inspecting and valuating a diverse range of properties, both residential and non-residential, within the City of Medicine Hat. Your responsibilities will include: Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of backssment principles, current mass appraisal techniques, and statistical analysis. Employing independent judgment to backss property values accurately. Interacting daily with the public and property owners, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. Working in both field and office environments to collect, correlate, and evaluate detailed data. Our Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with the public and internal staff. The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Completion of a two (2) post-secondary diploma in property backssment or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution. Eligibility for membership with the Alberta backssor's Association. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
