About Our Opportunity The Strategic Services division at DCS, is responsible for some major departmental and government priorities. We’re hiring an analytical and proactive thinking team player, with strong initiative, to inform strategic decision-making for the Department. The Senior Policy Analyst, Strategic Initiatives, will ensure that recommendations and advice that flow from the division are informed, innovative, and robust. In this role, you will have an impact on supporting our vulnerable Nova Scotians. Through your leadership, you aspire to shape the future of the population served by our many programs. Primary Accountabilities You will ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to the planning and delivery of government priorities. You will achieve this by: Leading the provision of information, policy options, analysis, and strategic advice to leadership Providing project leadership and support to specific projects and initiatives. Identifying issues and initiatives independently by ongoing monitoring of the changing environment and briefing senior management accordingly Qualifications and Experience You have completed post-secondary education in a related.
