Teck is looking for an experienced Superintendent, Maintenance Engineering to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Asset Planning & Reliability Manager, the Superintendent, Maintenance Engineering is responsible for overseeing Maintenance Engineering activities and team for plants and services at Trail Operations. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures. Lead water and metallurgical effluent environmental management for Trail Operations Support compliance with environmental permit requirements including provincial legislation and international audit standards Monitor trends and analytical data for industrial process wastewater quality at permitted locations and understand water quality monitoring equipment and analysis for measuring elements and compounds in water (such as Zn, Cd, Mg, Ag, and Se) Work with water balance models to support required maintenance Review and update internal documents for environmental regulations, equipment, processes.
