Step 1: Click to take the CI Survey The Challenge: The Surveyor will collect field data and review drawings to develop points for all types of civil work. What you'll do: Oversees the development and execution of construction related survey duties. Collaborates with engineers, superintendents Determines appropriate surveying techniques to be used on each project. Maintains equipment and keeps it calibrated Gathers survey data using global positioning systems (GPS) and other surveying tools to map areas and measure angles, distances, and elevations. Analyzes construction drawings to appropriately plan and schedule work. Drafts reports, descriptions, and other documentation for all work performed. Completes any surveying tasks crew members are unable to complete. Train or reccomend training to technicions in survey technics, mathmatical caculations, and computer analysis or survey data. Capture site photos Comply with all company safety rules Travel to projects that MH civil is working on. Performs other related duties as assigned. What you'll need to succeed Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems. Thorough understanding of and ability to execute proper field survey procedures and techniques. Thorough understanding of mathematical calculations used in field surveys and the ability to identify mistakes in calculations. Willing to work in harsh climates Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed Good verbal communication and problem solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D or related software. High school diploma or equivalent required. Surveyor training preferred. Valid US Drivers License Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Comprensión completa de los cálculos matemáticos utilizados en los estudios de campo y la capacidad de identificar errores en los cálculos. Buenas habilidades de comunicación verbal. Competente en Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D o software relacionado. Se requiere diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente. Se prefiere la capacitación de topógrafos. Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras a veces.
