Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance inspector, Quality inspector, Engineer Dimensional Measurement / Quality Inspector Salary: Very Competitive + Excellent Benefits Location: Bristol My client close to Bristol is looking for an experienced Dimensional Measurement / Quality Inspector to join their team. The Role: The role will span between laboratory-based activities and on-site work at customer's facilities using portable CMM's to measure components, jigs & fixtures. The successful applicant's day to day duties will include: Reading engineering drawings. Understanding geometric tolerances. Inspection using coordinate measuring machines CMM's. Generation of CMM programs. Inspecting engineered components using conventional measuring equipment. Creating Inspection reports. Accurate recording results in line with industry standards. Comply with company H&S guidelines. To be suitable for this role you must have the following experience / characteristics: Apprentice trained Engineer. Experience in using CMM's in manual and programmatic modes. Strong communication skills as the role will involve liaising with personnel from all levels of the business, customers and suppliers. Must be PC literate. Be able to work with the minimum of supervision. Will be required to work either in laboratory or at customer's sites as required. Proven team player with the ability to work on their own initiative and the ability to influence others by demonstrating a positive " can do" attitude. The ideal Candidate will have: Ideally HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Previous experience of working in the quality inspection roles. Full Driving License.
