Position Title: Human Resources Specialist - Contract Position Type: Temporary - Full-Time Position Location: Grand Falls Grade: Grade 03 Requisition ID: 26159 We are seeking a strong communicator to join us onsite as a Human Resources Specialist in our Grand Falls, NB location! This is a four-month contract position and is required to be onsite daily. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing local HR support in three main areas: HR administrative tasks, talent acquisition of high-volume roles, and managing the employee leave of absence process. The candidate will be working under the direct supervision of the local HR team. Please note that this position is required to be onsite daily, Monday to Friday. How you’ll add value: Execute local recruitment efforts, such as maintaining job requisitions, running talent acquisition events, proactively sourcing candidates, and developing/maintaining the local candidate pool(s). Manage candidate backssment and selection process to ensure alignment of talent and local business needs/succession plans. Manage employee leave of absence process, including working closely with vendor, and initiating the leave of absence within the HR system. Examples include Short Term Disability and Parental Leaves. Work with the Employee Experience Centre and HRBPs to manage reductions in force / redundancy efforts, as well as employee retirements.
