Term of App't: Monday - Friday, 7 hours per day Start date : Immediately Reporting to: Dean of Trades & Apprenticeships Salary: Classification 8 ($25.97 - $26.77 per hour), as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.56/hour in lieu of benefits and 6% vacation pay is paid out with each pay. Description: NLC's Trades & Apprenticeships Department is looking to hire an individual interested in supporting a team of instructors who are educating our future trades people in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. The successful applicant requires effective teamwork skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to perform a variety of clerical support tasks. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to: Typing, filing, photocopying, word processing and data entry. Record keeping, minute taking, and report compilation. Ordering, receiving, and stocking equipment and supplies for the department. Updating and maintaining program procedure manuals and handbooks, and Responding to student inquiries/requests for information. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you will have completed Grade 12 and a post-secondary Office Administration program or have an equivalent combination of education and office experience. Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office is required. Must be able to work in a team environment, multi-task, and work independently. Experience with and knowledge of Campus policies, procedures and conditions would be an asset. Successful completion of clerical testing will be required.
