You will help to deliver innovative solutions to today's complex business issues. What can you expect as a Senior Accountant in Pubco: · Preparation and review of audit, review and tax engagements. · Comprehend financial statements and corresponding notes. · Supervise and lead engagement teams. · Verify taxes owed and prepare personal and corporate tax returns (and other tax compliance slips) ensuring compliance with government standards. · Apply knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) an asset. · Summarize financial status through the collection of information and preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports. · Review documents from third-party sources for audit process. · Provide support to clients and respond to questions and queries in a timely fashion. · Vouch and backss relevance of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses. · In conjunction with and under the supervision of management, responsible for completion of all aspects of an engagement. · Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality, and deadlines. · Mentorship of junior team members, whether as part of a specific engagement team or as a resource within the office. · Build effective working relationships with clients and actively participate in business development through community involvement.
