This is a LOCUM opportunity for the duration of 12-weeks with the likelihood of extension. This is a full-time placement with 37.5 hours per week available. Part-time applications will be considered. Job Purpose: Band 8a Senior HMP Pharmacist Pay Rate: £50 LTD p/h + £250 Welcome Bonus Location: Dorset Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 Part-time roles considered Key Responsibilities: To manage and supervise the shop service and ensure that it is compliant with statutory controls, professional requirements, and local/national policies and guidance on medicines. To be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of the shop service provided to Dorset cluster of Prisons. To ensure the service meets the high standards of quality as defined by the service specification and if services are noted to fall short of these requirements, to take the necessary actions to improve services to meet these requirements. To lead on Medicines Management within the Dorset Prison cluster, including the development and implementation of a formulary. To ensure that robust systems are in place for managing prescribed medicines that have the potential to be abused, such as Controlled Drugs.
