Gaffaney s has been in business since 1943 and has a long history of providing excellent service to our customers. Non-Exempt Job Description RETAIL SALES PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to greet and service customers. Enthusiastically and creatively handle customer inquiries in an efficient and high quality manner, and a variety of other functions assigned as necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Answer phones Take and fill customer s orders Check in freight Keep shelves and inventory clean and organized Operate computer system to retrieve subscriber account information and to input data regarding reschedule dates, service changes and trouble call information Maintains daily log reports and other information on customer service COMPETENCIES Excellent interpersonal skills Professional demeanor A positive, friendly and can-do attitude Knowledge of standard office equipment Outstanding attention to detail Excellent communication skills; written and verbal Ability to work independently Ability to multitask and work under pressure Must be a team player Must have a solid work ethic; dedicated, reliable and forward thinking Available to work overtime and travel as needed EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
