To carry out routine repairs and maintenance in and around the Prison. You will be working 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs and 8am-3:30pm on Friday. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of maintenance works including decoration, plastering, joinery, basic plumbing and general maintenance and repairs. Job title: Multi Tradesperson Pay rate: £19 per hour Location: HM Prison Stocken Peterborough Hours: 39 per week Job description: To carry out routine repairs and maintenance in and around the Prison. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of maintenance works including decoration, plastering, joinery, basic plumbing and general maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities: Care and maintenance of tools, plant, materials, and additional company property. Health and Safety of self and others in the workplace in accordance with company policy. Delivery of works allocated to the quality required within set timescales. Compliance with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Co-ordination Team. To comply with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions, and directives. To deliver fabric repairs in both occupied and void properties. Experience: Ideally 2-3 years relevant work-related experience. Skills we are looking for: Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Joinery. Tiling. Minor plumbing – Desirable. Minor plastering – Desirable. Interpersonal skills. Time Management. Ability to use PDA device. Good awareness and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements, and risk backssments. Qualifications: Time served apprenticeship in a relevant trade. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent in joinery or a similar discipline. Current full UK driving license. Behavioural Competencies: Enthusiastic. Punctual. Conscientious. Self-motivated.
