Peninsula Plastics Plastic Processing Technician With over 50 years of experience in custom injection moulding, Peninsula Plastics is your one-stop shop from concept to finished part. Our dedicated team works to continuously implement new Technologies, update, and evolve production processes, increase, and develop quality control measures, and find new ways to revolutionize products across every industry. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Operate machines & liaisons (Start-up and Shutdown as required). Set up processing parameters of injection molding machines. Quality Control: Maintain Equipment and inventory. Troubleshoot & Perform repairs on robotic systems or components. Record and report to management any downtime, scrap, manpower issues, and equipment failures. Work with the foreman, and lead hand to reduce quality-related concerns/issues. Perform machine and tooling preventative maintenance and complete daily logs during each shift. Ensure cycle time, weight, and mold change requirements are followed. Respond to operator needs, quality concerns, processing, and set-up issues. Qualifications: (experience needed and education) Minimum 2 years of related experience A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education or a technical degree is an asset. Technical Course certification experience with hand tools or welding is an asset. Problem-Solving & high-level competency in injection molding. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Knowledge of basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience. Must be flexible with the schedule as we work on rotational shifts Salary: $23.00 / Hour.
