ESF Camps is hiring a Tennis Camp Director to join our mission-driven team in Haverford, PA! The Tennis Camp Director is responsible for the care and supervision of all campers and Team Members in the program. Why ESF? Flexible summer schedule with the opportunity to work up to 10 consecutive weeks Become a motivated leader and gain experience supervising children while building long lasting relationships Internships, field work, continuing education credits, lifeguard, and specialty certification reimbursement FREE camp tuition for children of team members Employee referral bonus program Essential Job Responsibilities: Supervise campers and coaches with attention to behavior and group management, safety, security and skill development. Implement ESF Tennis Camp curriculum; ensure team members bring lesson plans to life for campers through participation, support and guidance. Encourage instructors and coaches to use creativity and effective classroom management skills to organize daily lesson plans in a fun and creative manner. Monitor the tennis program, supervision and administration of all activities and assemblies Lead meetings with Team and coordinate their daily schedules. Conduct mid and end of summer Team Member evaluations. Conduct tours and provide an overview of the program to prospective camp families Coach, manage, or assist with Tennis Camp programs Inform site director of any concerns regarding the health and safety of the campers. Communicate with clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with campers, their families, peers, leadership team and the larger community. Demonstrate the ESF Core Values and Virtues of Character (Gratitude, Respect, Trustworthiness, Effort, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience, Community) in camp daily Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Physical Education or Kinesiology is preferred. Prior classroom teaching/field work experience or three (3) years of ESF experience is required. Prior tennis instruction experience required. Performance management experience is preferred Previous experience working with children in a camp setting is also preferred. 2-4 years administrative/leadership experience is required Typical hours are: 3 days/week, 7:30am-4:30pm; 2 days/week, 8:00am-6:00pm; Monday-Friday . Start and end times may vary depending on the location and camp. It is understood you will complete all trainings and pre-employment credentials required by ESF and the state you are working in. Push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds across campus. Work outside, upright, and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day Respond to emergency situations which may include running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion Maintain the "ESF Look" at all times Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to and takes direction from the Site Director. May also take direction from and is overall accountable to the Assistant Site Director. Covid 19 Health & Safety Protocols ESF has developed and will be implementing an Advanced Safety Plan to ensure our campers, team members, and parents thrive in a safe environment. This plan includes detailed safety measures in the following areas. Team members will be trained on all protocols and full compliance is expected. Limited enrollment and smaller group sizes Camper & staff screening with use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Cleaning, disinfection & handwashing Premier outdoor facilities Reasonable contact reduction, including social distancing practices Symptom Management Action Plan Specialized Safety Training
