*APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: Until Filled* STATUS: Full-time, Permanent FLSA: Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Finance SUPERVISES: All Department Team Members WORKING HOURS: This is a salaried, exempt position. The incumbent is expected work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment. SUMMARY: Responsible for total cage and vault accountability including planning, staffing, directing and controlling. Safeguards assets and ensures compliance with all regulation requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Schedules and supervises the cage team members, including cashiers and supervisors. Directs team members in all aspects of cage operations. Develops and conducts cage operations training for new and current team members. Enforces River Rock Casino's Internal Control Standards. Coordinates deposits with the Finance Department to ensure that the casino operating cash and bank cash reserves are adequate. Prepares and submits daily "Cash Flow" reports for management. Investigates all variances, following P&P guidance on reporting discipline. Ensures all departmental policies and procedures are consistent with the most current Internal Control Standards. Ensures professional guest service. Ensures quality, efficiency and increase cost effectiveness. Ensures staffing is at proper levels to meet the needs of the property. Participates in Management meetings, staff meetings and other training as required. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. "Leadership Pledge" and "Core Leadership Qualities". Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages other to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures. Attends all required meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, termination, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, reward and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in cage leadership role. Must have extensive knowledge with Title 31 rules and regulations. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have excellent computer skills (proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, etc) and be familiar with current table games tracking system. Good oral and written communication skills required. Thorough knowledge of all applicable Internal Controls, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements necessary. Ability to work with sensitive and confidential data is essential. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a professional appearance at all times. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business. EDUCATION: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED); two years of College preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure-must. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to proactively streamline processes for company's return on investment. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to process detailed work and requests for information or assistance in a timely manner. Ability to apply regulatory and procedure doctrine, concepts, and policy to practical situations. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items. Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This is a fast paced, highly diverse work environment, and the position requires the ability to remain flexible and get along with all personality types. Must be able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines. Must be able to respond calmly to customer concerns and questions.
