Description:

As a Federal Contractor, SOAR365 requires new hires to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID 19 or have an acceptable accommodation before their date of hire per Executive Order 14042. PURPOSE: Configure forms for web-based software application using application form designer. Design and develop reports using application reporting tool. Assists with business requirements definition as needed and perform quality assurance testing for web-based software applications. DESCRIPTION: The Software Developer Intern will work on an integrated project team to implement an electronic care record for the agency. Primary responsibilities include understanding business requirements, learning software application configuration and functionality, developing test cases, performing tests, tracking issues through resolution, and reporting status to the project manager. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Understands and documents business requirements. Learns and understands electronic care record software application functionality. Configures electronic care record software to meet requirements using the application form designer. Develops custom reports using the application custom report writer. Creates use cases and test scripts and performs unit, system, and integration testing. Tracks software defects and software configuration issues through resolution. Assists with training plan, content and delivery for end users as needed Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues with forms and reports. Assists with other project tasks as assigned by project manager. Maintains system documentation for production, test, and training environments. Reports status to project manager. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to the Chief Information Officer, IT Services and is assigned to an implementation project team where a project manager assigns tasks. JOB KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS: Good knowledge and demonstrated ability for learning application software and supporting web-based applications. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understands project management principles including traditional and agile approaches and how they are used to complete the work of a project team. Understands business analysis tools and techniques to document business processes. Understands quality assurance testing techniques to develop test scripts and perform software application tests. Experienced with SQL Query Development as it relates to SQL Server databases. Experienced in Report Writing and Business Intelligence concepts and tools. Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others. Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group. Professional attitude and work habits. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Student currently enrolled in Information Technology or Computer Science major at a local accredited college or university with one year of experience working on projects with other students.
