Position Summary: This is a professional clinical position providing therapy to adults and children who are active clients of the dependency system. Work involves the application of psychotherapeutic theories and practices. Provides in-home therapy and other services, including substance abuse, to assist the families in retaining their children in the home or to effect successful reunification. This position entails working with families using a team approach to increase the potential for the timely and safe achievement of permanency for children being served primarily in the child welfare system. This position entails works with the child safety dependency case manager and other entities to stabilize children's placements in both out of home care and in home care. This position will also have a shared goal of reducing the potential for removal of children from the home. It includes assessing, linking, coordinating and monitoring services from mental health, social and educational aspects. Collaborate and develop service plans in partnership with the family. Work closely with the family (both adults and children) to identify services needed in the home to maintain the least restrictive environment. Services are provided in-home or in the community. Directions for Living is an essential services provider. A ll Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required. CAP certification preferred Must have sufficient clinical knowledge to provide clinical intervention with adults and children who manifest a range of psychopathology, utilizing various treatment approaches including individual, family, play, and group therapy, individual psychopathology and normal childhood development. Have sufficient clinical knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused- CBT and other evidence based treatments. Must acquire knowledge of community resources. Experience with families and children. Early Childhood Education Experience preferred. EOE/DFW/Tobacco Free Campus #ZR
