deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an Aviation Electrical Engineer in Huntsville, AL. Position Description: Senior level Weapon System Electrical Engineering SME to support a DoD Weapon System development program. The Electrical Engineering SME will be focused on oversight of the design, development, integration and qualification of the aircraft electrical power generation and distribution systems into the aircraft design, monitor OEM design progress to facilitate successful implementation and certification of the aircraft's electrical power generation and distribution systems as well as aircraft E3 qualification and manage complex technical projects and associated risks from concept development through fielding within a team environment. Responsibilities Include: Ensure airworthiness resolution and solutions, as well as identification and resolution of technical risks Recommend courses of action based on technical maturity, cost, and schedule Education Requirements: BS Electrical Engineering or related technical field; Master's degree preferred Experience Requirements: 15+ years of relevant experience Experience with aircraft electrical systems Experience/understanding of the airworthiness process Understanding of Systems Engineering processes Special Skills Desired: Domain knowledge of Rotorcraft or Aviation platform and system Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance .
