As a content manager, you'll apply your passion for adventuring along with your writing and research skills to craft detailed, neighbor-focused product descriptions. You'll get real-world experience with our products to learn what it's like to install them, use them, and live with them. And you'll collaborate with other etrailer teammates to understand our neighbors: who they are, what matters to them, and what problems they're trying to solve.This is a permanent, full-time position at our offices in Wentzville, Missouri. We offer a flexible schedule and 8 hours of remote work per week. Responsibilities Grow and maintain a deep understanding of and familiarity with our products, our neighbors, and the industry through research and real-world experience Manage product categories, which includes collaborating with other content creators in creating a neighbor-focused shopping experience for each category Write accurate, neighbor-focused product descriptions Collaborate with other teams (photo, video, and marketing) to make etrailer the definitive source of trusted information Experience and skills Experience with the recreation and automotive market, either personally or professionally Professional writing experience and/or experience writing for the web Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) - moderate level of skill in Excel preferred Strong critical thinking skills Strong project management and organizational skills - able to manage several complex projects simultaneously, efficiently manage workload, and reprioritize work as needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to communicate effectively through written and spoken word Exceptional attention to detail Ability to interact professionally with vendor contacts and other teammates Ability to work well independently and within a team Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field preferred About you You're committed to making it easy for each neighbor to find the best solution for their situation. You understand who our neighbors are as people, and you can match them up with the right product for their needs, whether they're a full-time RVer who travels the country, a cycling enthusiast who's looking for the best rack for their favorite bike, or a landscaper who needs to haul equipment from job to job. You relish getting real experience with products and figuring out all the little ins and outs that will make a difference to our neighbors. You're looking for the stuff that isn't in the marketing materials: what it's like to open and close the latch on a roof cargo box when it's filled to the brim, how hard it is to load bikes onto a trunk rack, or how easy it is to securely hitch up a 5th wheel camper. You're not shy about making recommendations for neighbors, and you can back up your recommendations with facts and experience. You're passionate about reviewing the data and feedback we get from our neighbors to figure out how they shop and what matters to them. You know where and how to find other information on our neighbors: diving into forums, conversations with other experts at etrailer, and the like. You enjoy working with others to figure out what's best for our neighbors, and you don't mind the occasional heated debate. Love. Feedback. You're excited to try new things, and if needed, you can easily adapt your methods and processes to create stellar content. Your work is meticulous, and you have a strong grasp of the English language, both in writing (email communication, content creation) and in person or over the phone. How you'll grow You'll have plenty of opportunity for real-world product experience, both by testing out products in our photo, demo, and install bays and by borrowing products for your own personal adventures. You'll work on new and different projects as we bring in new product lines to grow our offering.
