Intensive Outpatient Services Lead Counselor - Full Time - Durham County $1,000 sign on bonus! This is a unique opportunity to be a part of building our Durham County Outpatient Services team! The perfect fit for this role is a natural leader with a passion for supporting others while developing their own personal & professional skills! As our full-time Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Lead Counselor, you will provide oversight and support to the IOP clinical team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and SouthLight organizational guidelines. This role has many elements, including strategic growth of the program, assurance of quality and clinical service provision, direct member care, administrative oversight, and development and management of staff. You will work closely with Durham service providers, our Intake and Administration team, and other internal programs to best support the clinical team and its members. This role creates an exciting opportunity to build partnerships in the community and collaborate with other organizations in an effort to establish an efficient program. You will lead groups and conduct assessments in an abbreviated capacity to allow time for oversight and support of IOP clinicians - we believe in a well-balanced work flow! Schedule Flexible, daytime hours! Pay Starting pay for this role is $52,000 - $56,000 annually, based on licensure and experience. + $1,000 sign on bonus! You would receive 10 paid holidays as well as PTO hours which would accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months you would be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. We also provide company paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and paid credentialing. SouthLight is also eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). Job Responsibilities of an Intensive Outpatient Services Lead Counselor Provide mentorship, clinical supervision, training, and guidance to the IOP clinical team to ensure best practice, adherence to productivity standards, timely and quality documentation standards. Provides office and community-based screening, assessments, and evaluations Serve as point of contact for referrals and manage distribution of clients to IOP clinical team dependent on expertise, treatment plan, payer source and group availability. Conducts weekly team meeting/case conceptualization Manage and track timely submission of authorizations, person-centered plans and comprehensive crisis plans by the IOP clinical team. Participate in HR and Executive Leadership sponsored "Leadership Development Activities". Coordinate with AOS Program Manager on clinical staff performance evaluations and expectations, including hiring and terminations. Demonstrates a willingness to provide coverage as needed, including coverage for the First Responder phone. Qualifications of an Intensive Outpatient Services Lead Counselor Education and Experience Masters level degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited institution Three or more years of experience working in outpatient community mental health/substance use treatment setting Knowledge and experience with IOP Experience conducting comprehensive clinical assessments Familiar with service definitions, CARF and NC Licensing rules and regulations Licensure/Certification Fully-licensed clinician (LCAS) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to: Organize resources and establish priorities Impact operational efficiency Oversee a team of IOP clinicians and provide clinical supervision Oversee timely and accurate documentation Hold clinical team responsible for guidelines as outlined by CARF, other national, state and local standards, and best practice.
