As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for the management, investigation, and resolution of claims, ensuring a proactive, efficient, and timely claims handling process. The Claims Manager will work with insureds/carriers/TPA/brokers/ company staff and manage the claims department team. At Watkins, customer service is more than just being courteous to our clients. Are you customer focused? You will need to make every client interaction stand out for its friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness. You will need to display empathy and leave a positive impression with the client. Are you analytical? You will review and verify data for accuracy to enhance processes and help in serving the clients better. Are you organized? You will need to stay focused on different tasks and use your time effectively and efficiently in order to be proactive and meet deadlines. Are you an excellent communicator? You will correspond and talk with insureds, carrier representatives, and agents to obtain information or provide important notifications. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential to providing clear and concise information. To comprehend the client's needs, you will also need to be a good listener. Are you a team player? You will need to be easy to work with and be willing to help others. The agency's success depends on our ability to work together seamlessly. WHAT YOU NEED Active Adjuster's license through the Texas Department of Insurance. Three years of claims supervisory experience or at least five years' relevant claims work experience with progressively increasing responsibility. Advanced knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance claims investigation, loss assessment, fraud awareness, liability and workers compensation insurance claims process and issues, and insurance industry legal and regulatory environment, and litigation. Advanced knowledge of principles and methods pertaining to claims field and claims management practices. Supervisory, interpersonal, and conflict handling skills.
