We have an immediate need for a Controller . Primary Responsibilities: Prepares journal entries for month end close. Prepares reports for monthly payroll and PTO accruals. Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements and reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from the communities. AP processing for all communties; Includes batch review and posting, auto draft set up and recording of payments via auto draft. Monitors AR for each community requesting updates on delinquent accounts. Assessing late fees as needed. Review labor reports, comparing hours and rates to budget; escalates trends and OT violations. Develop training materials to support DBOs - including onsite training and support (as needed). Assists with the Bi-Weekly processing of payroll for 600+ employees. Lead Manager for Yardi Software and Payroll System. Assists communities with monthly billing. Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts; Providing DBOs with outstanding debit card charges needed for reconciling. Assists with yearly budgeting process for each community. Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes, recommending changes. Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the Sr. Controller. Education/Experience/ Licensure/Certification Bachelor of Accountancy Degree 3-4 years of work experience in finance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles/controls and excellent verbal and written skills. Strong working knowledge and skills related to software programs including Excel, and familiarity with accounting and payroll software is also essential.
