Overview A successful logistic coordinator coordinates inventory management, warehousing, and transportation services in order to optimize inventory and minimize costs. The logistics coordinator responsibilities include verifying and recording incoming material and arranging for the transportation of products. Provides clerical support for inbound and outbound logistical operations. This role will be based out Powerblanket manufacturing facility located at 3130 S. 1030 W. Salt Lake City, Utah 84119. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Coordinate shipping activities with external parties. Supports a variety of logistical functions including sourcing, receiving, purchasing, and dispatching. Reports to supervisor Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Other activities and task as assigned by management. Key Characteristics, Competencies and Skills Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines. Confident, self-assured, and optimistic about change management initiatives and ability to deliver superior results to the business. Unrelenting and passionate about driving a culture of accountability and effectively collaborating with managers and employees in the delivery of HR service levels. Committed to continuous improvement and tenacious in the pursuit of a goal. Strong team building and communication skills and the proven ability to influence and manage change. Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefits plan designs. Qualifications High school or equivalent Minimum of 2 years work experience in Logistics administration is a plus Domestic (US) and International Logistics experience: 2 years preferred 2 years FCPA experience / working knowledge within a logistic environment Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) Experience in logistics ERP is preferred.
