A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT As a General Ledger Accountant, you are a vital member of our office staff. Each day, you tackle a variety of important tasks that keep our books organized and our business financially sound. As part of your duties, you review financial statements prepared by an external bookkeeper, reconcile accounts, record accounts payable, and manage accounts receivable. Attentive to detail, you analyze monthly budget variances, compile data for taxes, and handle insurance renewals. You are also conscientious about updating the CEO dashboard with financial information. As our company grows, your responsibilities expand and increase.
