Allen & Allen is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for our Richmond office to manage client case files. This includes providing excellent service and organizational skills to ensure our clients are receiving the best outcome for their case. Preferred background includes: 1+ years Personal Injury plaintiff experience Assists attorney s in preparation for meetin gs with witnesses, clients, officers, and experts; depositions; hearings; mediation; trial; and client closing . Drafts correspondence, pleadings, and discovery answers . Draft s expert witness designations, motions, pre-trial scheduling orders, complaints, subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum . Redact medical bills for use at trial . Schedule all trial-related meetings . Calculate and calendar court deadlines . File pleadings in state and federal courts, court of appeals, Virginia Supreme Court . Manage and audit liens, including liens associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation.
