Summary The Outbound Logistics Manager is responsible for the efficient management and coordination of all outbound logistics operations, including logistics planning, carrier management, shipment tracking, cost analysis, and customer service. The role reports to the PC & Logistics Head of Department and collaborates closely with the Logistics Working Group. This role will work for the MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe). About MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)[Logistics Planning]•Develop and implement daily logistics activities for outbound shipments•Collaborate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries•Ensure timely and complete delivery of all shipments•Optimize transportation schedules and routes to reduce costs and increase efficiency•Evaluate transportation performance and make recommendations for improvement•Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the transportation network[Carrier Management]•Select and manage carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of outbound shipments•Establish and maintain positive relationships with carriers•Negotiate carrier contracts and rates•Monitor carrier performance and compliance with established service levels and requirements•Address any carrier performance issues[Shipment Tracking]•Track outbound shipments and provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders•Investigate and resolve any shipment-related issues, including delays, damage, and losses•Provide customers with accurate and timely delivery information•Manage freight claims and[Cost Analysis]•Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings•Develop and maintain transportation budgets•Provide regular cost reports and analysis to management•Implement cost reduction initiatives[Customer Service]•Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers•Address customer inquiries and concerns related to outbound logistics•Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to ensure that customer requirements are met•Manage customer complaints and issues related to outbound logistics Supervisory Responsibilities : The Outbound Logistics Manager will potentially supervise hourly staff and contractors in the future. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
