Compensation - We provide onsite housing and meals for your entire summer! Weekly pay rates start at $460/week but increase with additional experience and certifications. Learn more about our compensation and bonus structure here. We are hiring Backpacking Program Supervisors for our Colorado Overnight Camp Camp Blue Sky (Grades 1-5) in Evergreen, CO. In this role you will Responsible for all trip logistics including preparation of group gear and food., communication with permit agencies before and after trips, and inventory expedition gear weekly and repair gear as needed. Point of contact for all trips in the field through the use of a Garmin InReach Explorer. Implement a pre-trip backcountry curriculum for a ½-full day class including an LNT Awareness Workshop. Assess the skill levels of each camper and staff prior to each offsite excursion. Prepare trip staff through pre-and-post briefings for latest information, insight and feedback. Serve as a camp leader by attending weekly staff meetings, serving as a go-to person for the Assistant Director, participating in staff and camper supervision, and providing program team support with evening events and activities as is needed. Job Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age at the start of camp. Must possess an active CPR certification, Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification, and a valid driver's license. Previous experience as a wilderness guide and trip planning. Experience with youth in a professional and/or volunteer capacity preferred. Work Schedule Resident camps are a 24/7 operation. The resident camp leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with one evening off/week and segments of other time off throughout the week. Mandatory training begins June 6.
