Description:
Heavy Equipment Repair Technician Primary Responsibility : Self-motivated technician who can complete repairs on all types of heavy equipment. Must have strong communication skills, computer skills and can understand service and parts manuals. Must have an positive can do attitude. Responsibilities and duties: Able to complete hydraulic, power train, electrical and engine repairs. Willing to work on multiple brands of equipment. Complete PM inspections as per provided check lists. Able to take accurate SOS oil samples. Inspect equipment and make recommendations for required repairs. Inspect completed job assignments for quality control. Inspect equipment making sure all safety equipment is in place and operational. Order required parts for repairs, stock out inventory parts and return nonused parts or cores with proper documentation. Complete repair documentation and time cards. Can use test equipment, computer diagnostic software, parts, and service information. Can determine parts reusability and communicate information to Supervisor. Willing to work independently as well as part of a team. Willing to work in other service departments. Willing to work overtime as workload dictates. Can communicate effectively to other team members, Supervisors, and the Customer. Complies with and implements company safety, affirmative action, and equal employment opportunity policies to insure a safe and harassment free work place. Must have and able to maintain a clean driving record. Must have a CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL license. Minimum Experience: Two year technical degree in field and/or equivalent heavy equipment experience required. Compensation: Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
