The North Central Idaho Small Business Development Center ("SBDC") Program Coordinator reports to the North Central Idaho SBDC Regional Director and supports the department. The Idaho SBDC provides business consulting and coaching, training programs, research, and resources for potential and established small businesses. The Program Coordinator has frequent contact with area small business owners, service providers, stakeholders, and the campus community. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time position, up to 19.5 hours per week during business hours with occasional evening work required. Responsibilities: Provide administrative support for Idaho SBDC staff. Provide customer service to clients, the public, Idaho SBDC, Lewis-Clark State College, and other organizations. File, scan, make copies, prepare and proof documents and correspondence, pick up and deliver mail to/from Lewis-Clark State College's mailroom. Answer the phone and respond to e-mails, provide information, forward e-mails and calls, send out surveys, leave messages, and assist walk-in clients as needed. Assist with the coordination of training workshops, including preparing schedules and rooms, registering participants, working with Canvas to provide our on-demand video trainings, conferences, processing fees, maintaining communication with trainers regarding sign-ups, cancellations, etc. Market training events to regional news outlets, business organizations, and clients. Manage the office's social media account(s). Maintain Center IC client database. Input new clients, narratives, trainings, impacts, student projects, and create reports. Work with the Regional Director and staff to help design and distribute a newsletter. Check calendars and confirm appointments and workshop attendance. Use Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and Canvas to perform duties. Coordinate work with other staff, interns, and students. Attend and participate in meetings and trainings related to the position. Keep track of hours worked and input on state time card system. Observe and participate with experienced business consultant(s) during appointments with selected clients. Help center meet Idaho SBDC annual goals including the following: Client Business Starts, Capital Raised, Jobs Created, and Sales Growth. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This includes working well alone, with clients, with students, and co-workers. Physical Demands While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. The employee will usually be working at an office desk using a computer or telephone and communicating with staff, a client(s), or the public. Travel Occasionally, the employee will travel for meetings, training programs, or other Idaho SBDC related business. Required Qualifications: Perform a variety of office support functions, including but not limited to communicating verbally and in writing, creating reports, filling out forms Computer competency, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Attention to detail Reliable and punctual Professionalism and ethical behavior, including keeping information confidential Good oral and written communication skills Ability to perform mathematic functions Ability to analyze problems and resolve conflicts Excellent interpersonal skills Experience in customer service Respond to inquiries and explain program services, policies, and procedures to current and potential clients.
