ABOUT KNEADERS Kneaders Bakery & Cafe began as a small shop in Orem, Utah in 1997 serving traditional, European bread made with three simple ingredients. We have since branched out across multiple states and expanded our menu to include sandwiches, hearty soups, refreshing salads, and dozens of handmade pastries, all made from scratch with honest, whole ingredients. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PASTRY TEAM MEMBER As a Pastry Team Member, you are a critical part of the daily baking and decorating in the kitchen. You work with a small team of 3-4 members daily and make sure all orders are fulfilled. Baking is your passion, and you spend each shift baking over 40 fresh pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins with honest, whole ingredients. You are always sure to help keep the display case well-stocked daily and filled with the beautiful creations you make in the bakery's kitchen. Your work can be strenuous and involves lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies that can sometimes weigh more than 50 lbs. But, as someone who enjoys being active, you take it all in stride! Being able to adapt to change is crucial, and you often find yourself juggling multiple tasks and keeping an eye on the oven! This sounds like hard work, but you find it rewarding. If you're as passionate about food quality, customer service, and community as we are, we want to hear from you! PASTRY TEAM MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of experience working quickly to bake and decorate amazing pastries (not required, we are willing to train!) Ability to comply with local, state, & federal food handler & sanitation standards At least 18 years of age Formal education in baking is a bonus but not required! Are you detail-oriented and good at following recipes? Do you want a job that uses your creativity? Is flexibility on the job one of your strengths? Are you an early riser? If yes, this job is for you! PASTRY TEAM MEMBER WORK SCHEDULE This position typically works 3 -4 days a week from 5/6 am to 10/11 am with no Sunday shifts .
