QUALITY INSPECTOR I Sign-On Bonus: $1500* 1st Shift 6AM 2:30PM M-F Jtec is at the forefront of new technology and growth, creating innovative solutions for an evolving material handling industry. In 2010, Jtec's flagship product was born: the CarryMore Tugger Cart System. This impressive Mother/Daughter cart tandem design would make its own reputation by reducing costs for users and improving delivery times to the lines and safety in the workplace. It continues today, in a continually evolving design, as the company's best-selling design. In 2016, Jtec's newest product line was introduced: CarryMatic No-Touch Materials Movement System. The electric powered roller deck carts and stations allow for materials to be transported "hands-free." With wireless communication from a hitch control mounted on any brand AGV, this system can be programmed to run a route and seamlessly move materials. In total, four lines have been developed to create a robust product catalog allowing Jtec to become a preferred cart solution specialist. Summary/Objective The Fabrication Quality Inspector I perform inspection on all products prior to coating, including, but not limited to laser, machined, formed, and welded components. The Assembly Quality Inspector I perform inspections on all products prior to shipment to a customer, including, but not limited to overall functionality of product and visual appearance. This includes also visually checking all hardware for proper installation. The Coatings Quality Inspector I perform inspections of all products after coating, including, but not limited to overall visual appearance of product. These inspectors will likely include both visual as well as physical inspections. Duties and responsibilities Ensure all components are correctly fabricated/coated/assembled prior to leaving location Must be able to read and understand prints on a high level, and understand the intent of the design Work with operations and engineering to ensure a quality product is produced with minimal supervision Escalate non conformances found Check First Article/First Piece sign off Inspect product during the fabrication/coating/assembly process for adherence to prints Completes other jobs or duties as directed by the Quality Manager Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) 1 Year of experience in a Manufacturing environment. Prior Manufacturing Quality Inspector experience, preferred Professional Certification None required Technology Windows PC proficiency Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools. Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry, and their applications. Face-to-face, phone, and email Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment: Job requires occasional use of required personal protective equipment Working with a Team - job requires frequent team collaboration Physical requirements Must be able to move about the assigned area Must be able to stand and work on your feet for an entire shift (8-10 hours) Must be able to position self to inspect products and equipment at ground level Must be able to work in safety sensitive role, fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of drugs or alcohol, including prescribed or over the counter drugs or other substances which may alter job performance during working times (e.g., drowsiness, impaired reflexes or reaction time, lack of concentration, etc.). Must be able to move products or equipment weighing up to 45 lbs.
