Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Lincotek Medical, based in Bartlett (TN), is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Maintenance Department as a Maintenance Manager. The right candidate will handle both the initial studies necessary for understanding the equipment and the monitoring of maintenance or overall operations of the latter. He or She will be involved in the development and implementation of equipment improvement and upgrade solutions and will work with Lincotek Equipment to do so. Essential Functions Carrying out maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment Performing periodic inspections on plant, machinery and automated systems Scheduling planned and preventive maintenance work Ensuring that machinery and equipment are kept in good working order Ensuring that machinery and equipment meets safety regulations Intervening immediately in the event of breakdowns, failures or malfunctions diagnosing faults Repairing and/or replacing broken or defective components Checking repaired components and machinery to ensure normal functionality has been restored Documenting maintenance activities and creating maintenance procedures Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings and managing stocks of supplies and equipment Managing stocks of supplies and equipment Good verbal and written communication skills Relevant technical knowledge Problem-solving skills Efficiency and organization Teamworking skills Supervisory Responsibility Supervising activities of maintenance technicians Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50lbs. The employee must have the ability to work in all the production areas. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, at least 8 hours of work per day Monday thru Friday, some overtime as business needs change. Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends, if necessary. Travel Limited to no Travel Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering At least 3 years' experience preferred Job Posted by ApplicantPro
