I.C.E. Contractors, Inc. is a growing and established Commercial and Industrial Electrical and Low-Voltage Contractor and has an immediate need for an Industrial Electrician to service our Decatur, AL market. This electrician will be responsible for, but is not limited to, the installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and/or fixtures, bending and running pipe, and potentially leading a small crew. We seek self-motivated, attentive to detail, and reliable electricians who are willing to do what it takes to get the job done and who are eager and willing to learn and grow in the electrical trade. Job Responsibilities Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local, state, and national codes. Connect wire to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Test electrical systems, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Be able to prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. Place conduit, pipes or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Ability to direct, train, or lead crew members to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds or at heights above 25 feet. Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as being attentive to detail. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors. Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma and/or GED required. Trade School, Associates and/or Certificate in the electrical trade is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial setting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years (required).
