Covington County Hospital (CCH) is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join our medical facility as the Medical Director of CCH;s mental health outpatient clinic. This candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing, prescribing therapeutic modalities, and conducting regular follow-up appointments to monitor the patient's progress.Candidate should have a strong passion for helping patients overcome and manage their mental health. Top candidates will be compassionate, excellent listeners, and communicators. Desirable qualities include experience among various age groups, familiarity with advancements in the field of psychiatry, and technology competence. Requirements: Board certification in Psychiatry Mississippi Medical license Experience with adolescents, adults with additions and incarcerated patients preferred Experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy Medication-Assisted Treatment for addition and Telemedicine preferred Responsibilities: Provide expert consultation for a new start-up mental health clinic Oversee therapeutic plan for an outpatient mental health clinic Provide therapy for patients of various ages with mental, emotional, behavioral or addition illness Work as a member of a therapeutic patient care team Benefits Flexible work hours Attractive benefits package Collegial work environment CCH is centrally located with easy access to Hattiesburg, Jackson, New Orleans and Mobile Three universities within 1.5 hours, two medical schools within 1.5 hours Opportunity to participate in the formation of a new mental health clinic EEO Statement Covington County Hospital shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
