Police Officer Entry Level The City of Des Moines, Washington, is seeking applications from Police Officer candidates for immediate openings. For Entry-level Police Officer, only applicants who have (1) completed testing through Public Safety Testing AND (2) been invited by the Des Moines Civil Service Office may apply using the City's website. Base Annual Salary: $65,088 to $106,248 (MPO $89,976 to $106,248) The salary is subject to change in January 2023 to reflect Guild contract negotiations. Hiring Bonus: 40 hours of vacation upon hire To Apply: Go to https://www.publicsafetytesting.com/ . You must complete the Public Safety Testing initial application and select the testing date, time and location most convenient for you. You may also contact Public Safety Testing directly at 1-866-HIRE-911. Only applicants who have (1) completed testing through Public Safety Testing AND (2) been invited by the Des Moines Civil Service Office may apply using the City's website. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Possession of valid Washington State Driver's License by the time of appointment. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
