The Software Developer II position is part of the MWG Programming Department . The employee in this role will report to a Senior Developer and is located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland MS 39157 . To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Design, develop, and maintain both new and existing code, ranging from client-side development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, to server-side code using C# and ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Windows Services and ADO.NET for data persistence and retrieval, using Linq, SQL, or a combination of the two. Develop rich web interfaces and maintain front-end code (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript) Work in a fast-paced atmosphere and develop new ideas adapting to evolving user needs. Maintain a repository of common assets and reusable code through Azure DevOps. Contribute to all software development cycle activities including design, development, documenting, and testing. Review and understand functional requirements to be able to conceive and present application designs and UI prototypes focusing on workflow and usability. Receives direction and instruction from Lead Software Developers & Interacts with Special Market team and other programmers. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Associates degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc. or similar REQUIRED . (Bachelor's degree desirable). At least 3 years of experience working on large-scale, complex applications. At least 4 years developing object-oriented applications using .NET and SQL/Linq skills. At least 3 years of experience using RESTful Web API and asynchronous development. Bachelor's degree in a Computer Programming Related Field, or related experience. Proficient with server-side technologies such as ASP.NET, and .NET Core. Ability to independently solve technical problems collaborate when necessary, and proactively ask for help. Expert-level proficiency coding HTML and CSS; intimate knowledge of cross-browser challenges and developing CSS-driven layouts. Experience with modern CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, Pure etc. Experience with JavaScript, Razor, jQuery, Modern JS Frameworks. A passion for user-centric design, web standards, usability, and clean code. Working knowledge of source control systems. A proven track record of completing technically challenging projects. Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and methodologies and the ability to put a test strategy/solution in place. Solid understanding of Usability, User Centered Design, and pre-disposition for finding and looking for efficiencies in process and workflow. Experience working with project management and creative teams to define milestones and key deliverables Experience working in Microsoft Cloud stack including Azure technologies. WORKING ENVIROMENT: Must be able to perform in a very high paced environment and be flexible to multi-task or handle interruptions. Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects while completing deadlines in an organized manner. Excellent problem-solving skills along with keen attention to details. Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to handle stressful situation appropriately. Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in every aspect of the job. Work Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. -2:30 p.m. Available Benefits include Medical, Dental and Vision and 401K retirement plan.
