The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible to provide services that will assist the individual to achieve personal goals and desired outcomes as identified through an Individual Support Plan. This includes providing fellowship, care, and support. This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor. InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for an Individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Huntersville, NC 28078 area. DSP Staff will provide care 24 hours per week. Monday - Thursday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Pay Rate - $15.50/hr. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Instruction and assistance in home living environments. Helping individual identify and acquire valued social roles. Facilitating community integration. Helping individual develop healthy social habits. Dispensing medication and monitoring dosages. Transporting and accompanying individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities. Supporting individual at vocational sites. All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. One to two years of experience with the special needs population preferred.
