Set on 245 wooded acres in New Liberty, Iowa - just outside the Quad Cities and 60 minutes from Iowa City. Trying new things, and learning new skills is what camp is all about! Take a lead in this life-changing opportunity for yourself and campers. Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois are looking for an Equestrian Unit Counselor for our summer camp season at Camp Liberty in New Liberty, Iowa. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of equestrian program campers with attention to their health, happiness, discipline and safety. The counselor is responsible for planning and implementing program with an emphasis on equestrian knowledge and skills; ensuring camper skill development, personal growth, and fun. This position will run from early June to early August. The minimum age is 18 and the completion of senior year of high school or equivalent.
