The Plant Manager's scope of work covers receiving, warehousing, production, shipping and support functions such as quality and maintenance. What you'll do Employs lean manufacturing techniques, visual controls and plant performance measures to meet production goals and strive for continuous improvement. Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and cost accounting in accordance with company policies, principles, and procedures. Seeks to improve operational performance through continuous improvement of production related processes. Develops a manufacturing plan and production schedule that increases profit while reducing overhead. Assists with overseeing policies, procedures, and processes designed to minimize costs and maximize production. Oversees the manufacturing processes and identifies opportunities for process improvement or efficiency optimization. Work directly with department heads to coordinate purchasing, production, quality, and distribution processes, with the expectation of achieving budgeted year over year improvements in revenue, ROS, yield, and productivity. Executes strategy deployment plan within the business including implementing, operating, and optimizing new technologies and processes that build on our sustainable competitive advantage and position the business for decades of highly profitable rapid growth. Champion health, environment, and safety initiatives within the business, while maintaining compliance standards. Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to direct reports. Prepares and maintains plant budgets; control and monitor cost to maintain budget goals. Develop a culture that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust & respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence. What we need Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Administration 10+ years of Manufacturing Experience Proven skills in leadership and supervision Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles Advanced knowledge of business and management best practices Familiarity with industry standard manufacturing equipment and processes Technical expertise and advanced computer skills Who we are Located in Taylorsville, Mississippi, Architectural Mailboxes is part of Gibraltar's MAPS Division.
