Apply online today!Salary range: $40,000-$45,000 Work directly with the Visitor & Member Engagement Manager to hire, train and supervise part time museum staff, including all floor staff, with the assistance of the director. This includes onboarding and training, check-ins and performance reviews, coaching and discipline, offering and tracking staff trainings, and recognizing and retaining staff. Work with other PlayHouse management team members to create a culture of teamwork, ongoing learning and reflection, and care for colleagues and the museum. Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the Peoria PlayHouse, props, and exhibits, which may include light carpentry and handwork. Implement quality care and preventive maintenance schedules for exhibit and building systems and lead staff or contractors in performing effective and efficient services. Conduct regular inspections of the exhibits, facility and grounds; create, document, and implement plans to address areas needing improvement. Report regularly to the director any discrepancies or needed repairs or replacements. Ordering facility supplies including but not limited to office, custodial, replacement props, and exhibit replacement parts. Coordinate logistics of event and program services for the users of the facility to include set-up, tear-down and resetting museum spaces. Responsible for preparing portions of the Peoria PlayHouse budget including recommendations for capital projects. Must possess clear written and spoken communication to the management team regarding all staffing, maintenance, and safety issues. Document any incidents, both internal and external. Must serve as Manager On Duty (MOD) at least one day per week, as needed. Transport mobile exhibit pieces to mobile recreation programs and staff these when needed. Serve as expert customer service representative responsible for training all floor staff in customer service and customer recovery. Preform all other duties as assigned.
