Cayuga Medical Associates PC is looking for a Surgical Scheduler to join our Orthopedics team in Ithaca, NY. We're looking for someone detail-oriented and driven who is looking to advance their career in a growing multispecialty group practice. Who we are Cayuga Medical Associates PC is a growing multispecialty group practice based in the heart of the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. CMA currently offers over 20 outpatient specialties to the Ithaca, Cortland, and surrounding communities. Partnering with Cayuga Medical Center, we strive to provide the best patient care in our region. What you'll do Schedule surgeries for patients Schedule ancillary services and testing (MRI, CT scans, etc.) Obtain insurance authorizations for above procedures Manage phone calls with regard to above procedures Counsel patients with regard to upcoming surgeries and testing Coordinate pre-surgical clearance from the patients' PCP Ensure history and physicals are faxed before surgeries Assemble surgical orders for PA's and coordinate PA schedule to MD schedule for the operating room Provide back up support for front desk Why you should work with us CMA offers an agile, inclusive and supportive culture where every employee is respected.
