INVISTA's manufacturing location in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Process Engineer - Quality Focused. Join our team and use your experience and passion to lead continuous improvements as a key member on our Site Quality Team. You will have the opportunity to apply your technical and quality capabilities to lead continuous improvement initiatives towards our quality systems and product quality. The successful candidate in this role will be self-driven with a passion for leading continuous improvement initiatives. The selected individual will have a proven track record of solving technical problems through the application of data analysis techniques and problem-solving methodology. This individual will work cross-functionally to drive strategic quality initiatives throughout the organization. As Canada's first nylon plant. the Kingston site manufactures Nylon 6.6, polymers and fibers, including industrial yarns for airbags and industrial sewing thread. What You Will Do Lead continuous improvement programs/projects aimed at reducing quality risk and reducing variability in our manufacturing processes Provide leadership role in building a quality capability across our Site including the application of PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, advanced problem solving, and 6 Sigma Apply appropriate risk-based thinking (PFMEA) to proactively identify opportunities to reduce our quality risk profile. Develop and recommend economically feasible improvement proposals to senior leadership Interface with customers to understand their unmet needs and translate those into improvement initiatives at our site Demonstrate your ability.
