Position Information Working Title Custodian II (3:00pm-12:00am, Tues-Sat: Curtis, NE) Department NE College of Technical Agriculture-0928 Requisition Number S_191088 Posting Open Date 10/28/2019 Application Review Date: (To ensure consideration, please submit all application materials before review date) 01/21/2020 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Description of Work Perform routine work in cleaning and general upkeep of NCTA campus buildings and outdoor spaces. Scrub, strip, refinish and polish floors using heavy industrial-type powered scrubbing and buffing machines. Vacuum and clean carpets using industrial-type vacuum cleaners and carpet extractors. Mix cleaning solution per instruction. Collect and dispose of refuse requiring heavy physical efforts. Remove snow and ice from steps of immediate building area(s). Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more while moving furniture or setting up tables and chairs for special events. Hours: 3:00 pm – 12:00 am, Tuesday through Saturday. Must have the ability to understand cleaning chemicals and their application and dilution ratios. Must have the ability to gain knowledge and skill to operate large cleaning equipment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Commercial cleaning experience and basic plumbing, electrical and maintenance skills preferred. Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required No Physical Required Yes Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
