Saint Mary’s College has an opening for a Part-time (29 hours per week) Human Resources Coordinator. This position is responsible for processing all payroll related changes to ensure accuracy of pay for staff and faculty. Ensure new hire information and employee changes are processed timely; maintain accurate entry of applicable benefit changes. Serve as a point person for resolving pay questions. Collaborate with HR staff to facilitate off boarding processes are completed. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing human resources and payroll support for the College. This position performs functions related to updating changes that impact payroll and record keeping. Ensure pay changes are processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll changes including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates and benefits; Responsible for setting up and managing personnel files; Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions; track personnel actions, performance evaluations; and special pays; Audit HRIS data regularly to ensure accuracy of payroll data and changes; Problem solve and resolve pay issues; Track personnel actions, performance evaluations; and special pays; Respond to and complete employment verifications; Provide audit support pertaining to benefit audits; Order office supplies and participate in various HR projects; answer phones.Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and two (2) years of Human Resources experience. Working knowledge of payroll and file record maintenance is necessary. 1-2 years’ experience with Banner or another payroll software; experience utilizing HRIS software highly preferred. Commitment to providing a high level of customer service. Ability to correspond internally and externally to a variety of individuals in a professional manner in both written and verbal formats. Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel & Word), and general computer knowledge is necessary. Strong organizational skills with the ability to respond to multiple project requirements and deadlines. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm; Friday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm; able to work some flex hours as needed.Saint Mary’s College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
