The Claims Analyst evaluates the litigation potential of incidents and adverse outcomes within Care New England. Establishes claim files and estimate reserves, coordinates preparation of staff for trials or depositions, establishes/maintains databases and prepares reports for committees. Represents Care New England at selected legal proceedings and performs other job-related duties.Job Summary:The Claims Analyst evaluates the litigation potential of incidents and adverse outcomes within Care New England. Establishes claim files and estimate reserves, coordinates preparation of staff for trials or depositions, establishes/maintains databases and prepares reports for committees. Represents Care New England at selected legal proceedings and performs other job-related duties.Specifications:Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, business, law or nursing with 3-5 years of professional liability claims experience. Demonstrated expertise in database management. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and defense and plaintiff attorneys.
