As a Sheet Metal Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, fabricating, and bringing to life a diverse range of sheet metal projects. Responsibilities: Collaborate with design teams to interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications for sheet metal projects. Utilize CAD software to create detailed and accurate sheet metal designs, taking into consideration functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturing feasibility. Select appropriate materials and processes based on project requirements, including bending, cutting, welding, and finishing. Develop prototypes and conduct tests to validate design concepts and ensure they meet performance expectations. Optimize designs for manufacturability, considering factors such as cost, lead time, and ease of assembly. Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide guidance and support during the fabrication process. Troubleshoot and provide solutions to any challenges or issues that arise during fabrication and assembly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies.
