Term of App't: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week Start date: Immediately Reporting to: Dean of Trades & Apprenticeships Salary: Classification 8, $25.97 - $26.77 per hour, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Vacation is pro-rated and front-loaded (approximately 99.25 hours/year). Support Collective Agreement includes time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 - Jan 1) of each year is paid time off. This position is provided with a seasonal layoff notice (approximately late June/early July with recall each year for late August/early September). Enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan is mandatory. Description: The successful candidate will hold both positions which will carry a workload of 17.5 hours per week for each, for a combined total of 35 hours per week. The Tool Crib Attendant provides controlled access to tools, supplies and equipment for students and instructors in all Trades and Apprenticeships programs. They would also be required to maintain and repair the tools and equipment and track the inventory of parts and supplies on an as-needed basis, taking into consideration minimums and maximums. Costing and purchasing are a major component of the position. Typical duties for the Programs Support Clerk include, but are not limited to: Typing, filing, photocopying, word processing and data entry. Record keeping, minute taking, and report compilation. Ordering, receiving, and stocking equipment and supplies for the department. Updating and maintaining program procedure manuals and handbooks, and Responding to student inquiries/requests for information. Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 with Tool Crib related experience and post-secondary Office Administration program or have an equivalent combination of education and office experience.
