Quality Inspector Burnley Days / Twilight 2 week shift rotation Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:15 Fri 07:30-12:30 / Mon-Thurs 16:00-00:00 Fri 12:00-18:00£14.98 p/h / £20.11p/h Perm Nights Mon-Thurs 22:00-07:30£19.42 p/h Quality Inspector The Role Our client is a number of Quality Inspectors for both days and twilight shifts. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and have had previous experience inspecting within the precision engineering sector. You will be a vital part of the team contributing to ongoing processes. Quality Inspector Main Responsibilities First off and Patrol Inspection. First article inspection reports. Final view inspection of completed assemblies prior to despatch. Manually handle weights up to 25kg. Use computer equipment for data purposes. To record and maintain inspection and test records. Support the QA team and assist with internal audits. Liaise with Production Managers and Quality on corrective and preventive action. Contribute in a team working environment. Contribute to continuous improvement. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Observe and practice the 5S principles Quality Inspector The Candidate Time served Mechanical Engineer or have an equivalent qualification or experience Ability to read engineering drawings and engineering quality plans. Ability to use inspection equipment – Micrometres, Verniers, Gauges, Callipers, Bowers Prior knowledge and experience of valve assembly, inspection and manufacturing would be advantageous. Experience in inspection of Milling, Turning and Welding disciplines. Experience of using CMM Operations and Faro arm. Tessa scan experience would be an advantage. Experience of NDT testing advantageous. A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
