The Corporate Health and Safety team is looking for an experienced leader to join their team and play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring effective implementation of safety plans and programs across the various departments of the organization. This exciting leadership opportunity offers a diverse portfolio, as you will be leading a team of Safety professionals that oversee a variety of different client groups and industries; from industrial settings in utilities, natural gas and power generation, to public services in parks, recreation and transit, to internal corporate services team. Our ideal candidate Proactive and strategic individual who can collaborate with various stakeholders to foster a culture of safety. Proven leadership skills with ability to provide coaching, recognition, feedback, training, and support to team members. Sound knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation, Health and Safety Management Systems, and possess a high level of expertise in incident investigations, determining corrective actions and ensuring implementation of those actions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deploy tact and diplomacy in difficult situations. Strong analytical skills, systems thinking, and sound decision-making skills. Demonstrated the ability to develop and lead change management strategies, while supporting the team in an environment of heavy workload and competing priorities. Qualifications Successful completion of a diploma in occupational health and safety, emergency management or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
