A Family Practice Physician Outpatient Only Practitioner practice is seeking a qualified physician for Jacksonville, NC. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD. Medical Doctors Only Apply. MD/DO - Family Practice Physician REQUIREMENTS (duties include but are not limited to) ---Provide a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the Commanding Officer. ---Technically direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of, other health care professionals seeing patients within the scope of their clinical privileges or responsibilities. ---Promote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling. ---Request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. ---Order diagnostic tests as applicable. ---Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. QUALIFICATIONS ---Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy trained in the practice of medicine and in possession of a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands. Graduates of foreign medical schools are required to possess both a medical license and other certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or 5th Pathway. ---Must be board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or other equal certifying body. ---Must possess a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration certificate and a National Provider Identifier (NPI). ---Must possess a minimum of one years--- experience within the last two years working as a full-time physician, and which enables him/her to perform the specific tasks listed for this specialty. ---Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as certified by the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers which is the only program accepted.
